Thalapathy Vijay's Mersal released on Diwali and running successfully in theatres. In one of the scenes from the film, Vijay accuses the central government for their policies in GST, Digital India and DeMonetisation. That irked the Tamil Nadu BJP leaders and they wanted to chop off those dialogues immediately.
Earlier today, Central Minister Pon. Radhakrishnan had said that the producer of the Mersal has agreed to cut the scenes as suggested by BJP leaders. This led to a huge chaos in Social Media between Vijay fans and BJP cadres.
Now Kamal Haasan lends his hand to Vijay and team Mersal with a tweet, 'Mersal was certified. Don't re-censor it. Counter criticism with logical response. Don't silence critics. India will shine when it speaks'. Kamal Haasan is the first person from film industry to give voice on this issue.
